From Dad: My daughter is a cheerful young person with a very pleasant personality. Family always comes first for her as she leaves no stone unturned towards fulfilling her responsibilities. She is a 4th generation Doctor in our family. She is 28 years old, has completed dual degree MD PhD Program / Medical Scientist Training Program. She is one of the youngest students in her class as she skipped two years one in high school and then completed undergraduate degree in three years. She is currently a second year resident in Physician Scientist Training Program pursuing Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular fellowship. She has received many academic and athletic honors through her High School, Undergraduate and Graduate Schools. She is also a person with varied interests. She is a 3rd Degree Black Belt.... more Being a sports enthusiast, she loves playing tennis in her free time. She has a penchant for travelling and enjoys travelling to various international destinations.Family: Ours is a close-knit family with a great lineage in education. Her great grandfather was among the first PhD Scientist from Kashmir and was the author of few theses. Her paternal grandfather was a doctor and Director of Health Services on the State-level and her paternal grandmother was among the first female Gynecologist in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. On her maternal side, her grandfather was a Professor of English and History. He has retired now and is the author of 'Mirror of Life' and 'Divine Leela'. Her maternal grandmother was a Teacher. I am her father and practice as a Gastroenterologist in USA. Her mother is a Lawyer and Scientist and holds multiple degrees including MA and PhD in Biochemistry, MBA in International Business and JD Doctor of Jurisprudence. She has one sibling, an older sister who has also completed dual degree MD PhD, is a Cardiology fellow in the same training program and is married, my son in law is also MD PhD and is completing residency in Radiation Oncology.
Most importantly my daughter while ambitious for education and success, is down to earth, respectful, honest, forthright with very high moral values and character and prioritizes family over everything else.
