It was 29th December that I first received an interest from Mahesh. Fortunately, at the same time, I was online and don't know what made me write to him. His was the first non Gujarati profile that I saw and decided to write. After exchanging a few mails, we spoke on the phone and then decided to meet. Even for him, after being on Shaadi.com for a year, mine was the last profile that he had shown interest in, and had decided not to surf any further. We first met on 23rd January. To be frank, after the first day of meeting and the phone calls that followed, it was difficult to understand and comprehend each other initially mainly because of the different backgrounds that we came from. But there was a strong feeling within us that said that we must meet. We continued meeting and talking over the phone. And after a week (it sounds fast, doesn't it?) we realised that we were made for each other. There were so many incidences that directed that we were meant to meet and be together. It was a difficult phase with my parents not agreeing to our relationship. But we decided to give it time, time to us and parents too. Finally things started falling into place. With both of us being sure of our decisions and support of friends, our families finally agreed and we decided to meet. We got engaged on 1st July, 2007.
